This series was created to honor the late James Luna, who is most famously known for challenging the ways in which conventional museum exhibitions depict Native Americans. My hope is that part of the comlex Native American institutional experience is revealed to viewers in this work, and they can start to see how little we have come with museums since Lunas' moving "The Artifact Piece" in 1987.
