Three Autumns and Two Winters
by ERIN WOODBREY
Three Autumns and Two Winters presents a poetic recounting of the ephemeral process of creating anthotypes with locally gathered leaves and flowers. All the images were taken between October 2020 and November 2022– documenting three autumns, two winters, two springs, and two summers. These images and texts offer broader ruminations on time and the ecologies of light. How does time move faster or slower as seasonal light waxes and wanes? Cycles of the earth, geologic-time, tree-time, plant-time, bee-time, human-time– What are the material experiences of circular motion?
